Such machines are not intendod to be exactly comparable in features and functionally to the system under review, however. SPEC results for comparison systems are Iskon from pricy issues of UNIX Review or official results published by the manufacturer. These published results are assumed lo conform to SPEC reporting roles but may utilize various levels of optimization and may use special compilers and optimizing preprocessors. Hardware cowigwalions also may differ substantially between reported systems.
